Ridesharing companies must be forced to evolve to address safety concerns:

People want to be safe, and that includes using an Uber, Lyft or other rideshare—especially when partying is on the agenda. But how safe are you?

Unfortunately, there are gigantic risks associated with rideshare platforms and drivers:

1st: The app is incredibly distracting for drivers. Distracted driving is a major cause of serious accidents. Apps that distract the driver while you are in the backseat of their car are dangerous and unnecessary. Uber knows this, and has published an internal report that shows the dangers: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/12/05/technology/uber-sexual-assaults-murders-deaths-safety

2nd: Sexual and other Assaults by drivers are a huge risk. Uber knows this, and published a report which shows the extent to which their platform has endangered riders: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/12/05/technology/uber-sexual-assaults-murders-deaths-safety

Rasor Law Firm continues to press for apps and ridesharing law that keeps us safe. These companies need to evolve to reduce this risk. If you are the victim of distracted driving, sexual or other assault while in a rideshare, you should talk with us before you are asked to resolve the matter for much less than its worth.
